(PHOENIX) A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while drunk after a multi-vehicle crash that killed one person on Saturday, azfamily reported.
The Phoenix Police Department said Asheley Alvidrez, 29, was driving a Chevy Tahoe east on Thomas Road when she reportedly crashed into the back of a Mazda near 72nd Avenue.
The Mazda crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Kia and a Toyota Camry.
The driver of the Kia, 43-year-old Fabiola Vargas-Bracamontes, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Court documents state the driver of the Mazda had multiple broken bones and the driver of the Camry was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
Alvidrez allegedly had a blood alcohol content of .145, according to a toxicology report.
Alvidrez was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with serious physical injury, one count of reckless manslaughter and one count of endangerment.
