(OAKLAND, Calif.) Police are investigating a shooting in East Oakland that left a woman with multiple gunshot wounds, East Bay Times reports.
The shooting happened Monday at approximately 11:18 p.m. in the 1700 block of 20th Avenue. Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert discovered a 21-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her legs, according to reports.
She was transported to a hospital by ambulance in critical condition. However, her condition has been reported as stable on Tuesday.
The suspect was reported as being a male but no other description has been released.
No motive for the shooting is known but investigators believe that the shooting may have been the result of an attempted robbery.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for any additional information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
