On Sunday, 1 person was killed and another received injuries in an auto-pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street.
As per the initial investigation, a vehicle hit two pedestrian on Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street. As a result of the collision, one pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The other pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital by the emergency crews in unknown condition.
According to the reports, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigating team. Pacific Coast Highway was closed down as the officers investigated the scene. No further details have been provided.
The crash remains under review.
