On early Friday morning, a hit-and-run accident killed a woman on Tully Road.
As per the initial reports, the fatal pedestrian crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. A woman was walking in the eastbound lanes, outside of a designated crosswalk when she was fatally hit by an early 2000’s red sport utility vehicle. The driver of vehicle escaped from the crash scene and is still at large.
The emergency crews responded to the crash scene and found the woman in critical condition. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The authorities shut down the intersection of Tully Road and Kenoga Drive as they worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once next of kin is notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
