CC Fair is Coming!

On Monday, July 10, the fence was completed for the playground for the Carbon County Fair up at the rodeo grounds. It is just in time for the Carbon County Fair which starts next Monday, July 26, and runs through July 31. Fairgrounds Board member, Chrissy Frank, explained about the latest Fair project. “About three years ago, I thought we should do something with money we had in our 4 H fund. I am on the council. About ten years ago, someone had an idea for a playground up here and started saving money.” Frank said she, “Grabbed some girls to help,” and they formed a committee. They started selling plaques they called pickets to put up on a fence around the playground. Between the money they had already saved, the pickets and a grant from Northwest Farm Credit, they put up the playground last year. Read more
