Oklahoma Authorities Have Nabbed the "Good Samaritan Shooter"

Oklahoma State News by Betty Smith

Police in Oklahoma say they have arrested the man wanted for the shooting of two Arkansas men and the carjacking of a motorist in Oklahoma City.

Sgt. Gary Knight said U.S. Marshals and Oklahoma police tracked Lee King, 27, to a location in Dallas.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation stated King was wanted in connection with the shooting of former Arkansas Police officer John Derek Riggs and his lifelong friend Jake Myers.

Apparently, Riggs and Myers picked up King at a convenience store, where they bought a gas can and gas for him, according to Oklahoma authorities.

Riggs and Myers were found wounded from gunshots along the interstate and survived.

The authorities say King fled in a car he is suspected of hijacking earlier in Oklahoma and evaded police who pursued him near Antlers in southeastern Oklahoma.
