(SAFFORD, Ariz.) A girl went missing Thursday night after floods swept the state during a monsoon storm and the Pima Police Department is looking for her, ABC 15 reported.
Pima police said it received an emergency call from a mom who said she and her kids were trapped on top of their SUV near the Cottonwood Wash.
She reportedly told police that the vehicle was moving down the wash. Officers were able to rescue the other family members, but the 4-year-old was missing.
The Graham County Sheriff's Office, Graham County Search and Rescue, Cochise County Search and Rescue, Thatcher Police Department, Safford Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety and local helicopter companies are helping search for the girl.
Search and rescue operations were paused Thursday night due to the weather and resumed on Friday.
