According to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, cocaine disguised as a cake was seized from their vehicle, a New York man and a Maine woman face charges.
In response to a tip, police stopped the car on Interstate 295 in Maine, and a drug-sniffing dog located 4 pounds (2 kilograms) of cocaine worth $200,000 on the street. $1,900 in cash was also seized.
The cocaine was disguised as a marble cake with coffee grounds to mask the odor, Maine authorities said.
They were released on bail and are due in court soon. It has not been stated whether a lawyer was retained.
Agents think the drugs were intended for distribution in a couple of Maine counties. A number of agencies assisted in this investigation.
