(PHOENIX) A man and a boy were arrested in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl earlier this month, and the Phoenix Police Department said it is looking for a third suspect, The Arizona Republic reported.
Itzel Espinoza, 17, was found dead in a car on July 3.
Police said Jesus Javier Valle Padilla, 19, was arrested Friday after he allegedly gave a handgun to a woman who pulled the trigger, killing Espinoza.
Espinoza and the 18-year-old woman got into a fight near 38th and Wier avenues.
Court records state Espinoza and the woman got into an argument and Espinoza left the area, got into a car and locked the doors.
The woman, identified by police as 18-year-old Lindsey Aguilar, allegedly banged on the car window and demanded Espinoza got out. She allegedly asked Padilla for a gun and shot at Espinoza several times.
Police said the 16-year-old suspected in the shooting was arrested Monday and booked into the Durango Juvenile Detention Center.
Aguilar was not arrested as of Tuesday morning and investigators are still searching for her.
