Some people….

I never wish for anybody to get hurt, but I get so much joy out of these bozos walking up to wild animals at Yellowstone National Park.

Bison, elk, bears… whatever the animal is, Bob and Nance get the ol’ camera phone fired up, hop out of the car, and walk right into its kitchen.

And then, they’re surprised when a grizzly bear acts like…. a grizzly bear.

According to USA Today, a woman was recently filmed at Yellowstone, walking right up near a group of bears.

Many of the other park visitors tried to warn her, but she just had to get that picture for the Gram.

Lucky for her, the bear only gave her a bluff charge, which was enough to make her turn her back to the bear (another genius move) and walk away, but it could’ve been MUCH, MUCH worse…

But in all reality, the bear peeled off before she even knew what was happening.

All it takes is a second…

By basically ignoring every piece of advice on bear encounters that the National Park Service provides, this lady put herself right in harm’s way for the sake of a picture.

Lucky for her, the bear peeled off, bluffing the charge. But if this mama bear chose to actually pursue her, there wouldn’t be much she, or anybody else, could have done.

And, she also put the bear in harm’s way as well.

Had this been an actual attack instead of a bluff charge, then it’s highly possible the Park Service would have had to euthanize the bear.

The Search Is On

While she narrowly escaped trouble with the bear, it looks like she’s now in trouble with the Park Service.

According to USA today, Yellowstone Park Rangers are looking for HER now. That’s right people, she walked up to the bear like an idiot and now she’s the subject of an investigation.

“U.S. Park Rangers of Yellowstone National Park are investigating an incident of a woman approaching wildlife at Roaring Mountain.

On May 10, 2021 at approximately 4:45 PM, an unidentified woman approached a female grizzly bear and her two cubs at the north end of the Roaring Mountain parking lot. The female grizzly charged the woman who turned and walked away from the bears.

The unidentified woman is described as white, mid 30’s, brown hair, and wearing black clothing. If you were around Roaring Mountain on May 10, 2021 at 4:45PM, or you have information that could help, please contact NPS Investigative Services Branch.

You don’t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know.”

Imagine being wanted by Yellowstone Park Rangers for taking a picture of a bear that almost ate you?

And now, USA Today is writing about it, we’re writing about it… Congrats, you’re a famous idiot.

That being said, by all means, go visit a National Park this summer…

Just don’t be an idiot.
