(PHOENIX) A woman died after she was shot in an apparent drive-by shooting in Phoenix on Sunday while ordering food from a food truck, azfamily reported.
Officers responded to the area of 17th Street and McDowell Road around 3:30 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The woman, identified as 23-year-old Destiny McClain, was found with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
Police said McClain was ordering food from the truck when she was shot. Early information from police indicated investigators believe at least one person was shooting from a vehicle in the area and a stray bullet hit her.
