(ATLANTA, Ga.) One thing that can always bring the community together is food, and the city officials of Brookhaven are doing just that with their first-ever food week. Residents and visitors can expect to experience mouth-watering dishes and local culinary experiences throughout the week.

Set for early August, the city will be hosting Brookhaven Restaurant Week and featuring over a dozen restaurants and dinner specials each day.

The event is put together in coordination with the marketing organization for the city, Explore Brookhaven and Flavors Magazine.

Residents and visitors will be able to dine with more locally-owned restaurants from Aug. 2 through Aug. 8.

So far, the following restaurants have agreed to participate:

Each restaurant will offer a special three-course dinner menu ranging from $20-$55. Some will also offer three-course lunches for $15-$30 before drinks, taxes and gratuity.

"We are excited for the inaugural Brookhaven Restaurant Week," said Renee Areng, executive director of Explore Brookhaven, in a news release.

"This is a great opportunity for visitors, as well as residents, to get out and support our fabulous, locally-owned restaurants as they continue on the road to recovery."

Reservations are recommended and to see a full list of participating restaurants, menus and prices, visit the official event page.
