Woman shot, killed near Water and Michigan
MILWAUKEE - Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near Water and Michigan around 1:10 a.m. Saturday, July 17. According to police, a large fight broke out inside a nightclub and ended up outside on the street. Subsequently, a 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was shot and found with fatal gunshot wounds. Read more
The easy access to guns, lack of hope, lack of regard for life, zero morals, untreated medical conditions, all contributing factors in shootings. None is being addressed. Families are falling apart and children are the biggest victims.

So much for the idea that they now have control of the situation. Perhaps the millions that will be spent on speed bumps and huge ants intended to slow down drivers was also going to slow down crime. Sad that a preventable situation, has turned into tragedy and this will continue.

Milwaukee man sentenced for COVID-19 relief funds scheme
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee man has been sentenced to three years in prison for fraudulently seeking more than $600,000 in federal coronavirus relief funding. Authorities say 42-year-old Stephen Smith admitted that he sought Paycheck Protection Program loans on behalf of three different companies through applications to an insured financial institution. He allegedly made numerous false and misleading statements about the payroll expenses of the three companies. Read more
