Stacy Swain was a 1985 graduate at Robert E. Lee High School and after her graduation she began working at St. Margaret’s Hospital. On February 8,1986, Stacy Swain left her residence to go on a date. That Wednesday, February 12. 1986, in the afternoon, she was found by her family, deceased under a pile of leaves and debris, 20 yards behind her family’s home on Mallory Street. Law enforcement searched this area after she had initially gone missing and there was no trace of her body then. Stacy was last seen by her family on February 8, 1986. They also stated that they heard her enter the residence on February 8, 2021 but then went right back out and never returned. Stacy’s autopsy determined that she died from possibly more than two blows to the head. It was also noted that she was found partially dressed as well. At the time of the crime, law enforcement interviewed potential suspects however, after identifying a suspect there was not enough evidence to pursue charges. To this day there has not been enough evidence or information to push forward on this case. To be clear this case is still currently a cold case with Montgomery Police Department at this time. The District Attorney at the time offered the max reward for any information which was $10,000.00. If you have any information on this case contact Crime Stoppers at 334-215-7867 or you can also contact Montgomery Police Department Cold Case Unit.
