Man arrested on suspicion of killing Phoenix mom in May

(PHOENIX) A man was arrested in connection with the murder of a Phoenix woman in May, azfamily reported.

Andre Daniels, 30, was arrested in Tempe Thursday on suspicion of murder, a weapons violation and child abuse, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said Daniels was identified as a suspect after hours of interviews.

Officers responded to an apartment near 19th Avenue and Camelback Road on May 17 after getting reports of children crying on the porch.

On arrival, officers found a woman, identified as 30-year-old Shavone Robinson, dead with signs of trauma, police said.

Three children were found inside the residence.

Daniels was booked into Maricopa County Jail. It wasn't immediately clear if Robinson and Daniels knew each other and the investigation is ongoing.
