I do believe that you can learn in any way that works for you. I love to get inspired whilst being outside, moving and being in nature. When it comes to getting a pick me up, or just a motivational boost, I particularly love going out and listening to a podcast.

As a creator, it's essential to surround yourself with incredible, inspiring stories that can help you level up your mindset.

The podcast world has been booming. I know that because I run two shows myself. I am very aware of how vast the podcast world is: the beauty is that there is a podcast for virtually everyone these days.

However, I wanted to choose five shows that can help you level up your mindset. I challenged myself to select ones you might have never heard of before, shying away from the most obvious choices.

EP 469 - Advice to Overcome Feelings of Unworthiness

The meaning and weight of the word "home" are more than the house we live in. This podcast shares the story of Najwa Zebian, moving to a new country at the age of 16; she felt unstable and adrift in an unfamiliar place. A conversation about deep self-acceptance and exploration, and through that journey, healing.

Behavioral Design Podcast with Nir Eyal

If you're a bit of a geek like myself, you also love this podcast in this is the Behavioral Design Podcast with the incredible author Nir Eyal. The podcast itself is about business, behaviour, and the brain, which, as you can tell, are some of my favourite topics. I'm a big fan of Nir's books, so I was excited to dive deep into the podcast. It is not just about business. He talks about anything from understanding distraction to ways to deal with the illusion of control. It is a relatively new podcast, and it doesn't have as many episodes as some of the others, which means you can look at the backlog and dive deep into any of the episodes.

The Future Belongs to Creators

A much more obscure show is called The Future Belongs to Creators - this show is from ConvertKit, the email service we use over at Creative Impact and Alt Marketing School. It is a show for creators by creators, and the hosts look at the Creative Economy discussing the topics and questions facing creators and creatives alike.

It covers topics such as working with a virtual assistant and the impact of Twitch and the creative economy and remote working and so much more, looking into the economy as much as the stories of creators themselves..
