(EMERYVILLE, Calif.) Emeryville police announced Thursday that they are still searching for the suspects involved in Monday’s attack on two women in the parking structure of the Bay Street Mall, East Bay Times reports.

The women were attacked by at least three suspects at approximately 2:45 p.m. in the parking structure located in the 5600 block of Bay Street.

Both 27-year-old women targeted in the attack were treated for minor injuries by paramedics responding to the scene.

Investigators say that the women were approached by the suspects after parking their Cadillac CTS sedan. The suspects ripped their purses away from them and stole their vehicle.

Police later recovered the stolen car in Oakland.

Parts of the attack were recorded by bystanders who captured an image of the suspect vehicle described as a late 90s or early 2000s dark grey Lexus ES300 with no license plates.

However, descriptions of the suspects have not been released.

The ethnicity of the victims was disclosed as Asian but investigators don’t believe they were targeted because of that.

Emeryville police ask anyone with additional information to call Detective John Cocoran at 510-596-3734.
