(NORTHEAST OHIO) Six Northeast Ohioans were dead from recent car crashes as of Tuesday morning, with others injured after crashes occurred in Cleveland and the surrounding communities over the previous few days.

Per News 5 Cleveland, one crash killed two people and sent three to the hospital around 1:17 a.m. on Tuesday near the area of East 134th Street and St. Clair Avenue, in the city's South Collinwood neighborhood.

Cleveland Emergency Medical Services has yet to release the names of the deceased, a 20-year-old female and a 30-year-old male. Crews were able to rush a 21-year-old male, a 23-year-old male and a 42-year-old male to the hospital, all in serious condition, but little else is known about the crash at this time.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

A separate incident left a teenage passenger dead in Cleveland's Mt. Pleasant neighborhood after Cleveland.com reported the vehicle's driver, a 20-year-old man, struck a utility pole near East 126th Street and Kinsman Road at around 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 16-year-old Cleveland resident Jokwonn Kleckley, who died after the driver lost control of the 2006 Honda SUV the two were traveling in while headed westbound on Kinsman Road.

A bit southeast of Cleveland, Ravenna in Portage County also saw a fatal accident on Sunday afternoon that claimed the lives of two people and injured two others.

According to Cleveland.com, four people were headed east on Ohio 14, just east of Lake Rockwell Road, when the driver lost control of the 2010 Dodge Caliber they were in and the vehicle collided with a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe in the opposite lane at 1:24 p.m.

The driver of the Dodge, 36-year-old Brittany Spohn, and 81-year-old Esther Smith, a passenger in the Hyundai, both passed as a result of the accident.

Spohn, a Ravenna resident, died at the scene of the crash, while Smith later succumbed to her injuries after being transported to University Hospital Portage Medical Center. The two others involved — an unnamed, 71-year-old Louisville, Ohio, resident who was driving the Hyundai as well as an unidentified male — were both taken to UH Portage with various injuries.

The road was closed for more than three hours due to the crash but reopened later on Sunday.
