(OAKLAND, Calif.) Four separate shootings that happened only hours apart left one person dead and four wounded in East Oakland, East Bay Times reports.

Investigators say the shootings took place within a span of five hours on Saturday with one fatality reported in the 1200 block of 52nd Avenue near East 12th Street that happened at approximately 10:23 p.m.

Police responding to the scene discovered a 35-year-old Oakland man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not been released yet and a motive is not known.

Saturday’s shooting marks the 71st homicide in Oakland of 2021. There were 40 homicides recorded in the city at this time last year.

Another shooting was reported at around 11 p.m. at a taco truck parked near 22nd and International Boulevard. Two men, ages 19 and 20, were shot by two other men who approached before an altercation ensued while they stood in line.

The two men hit by gunfire were transported to a nearby hospital where their condition was reported as stable.

There is no known motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.

Another shooting was reported at approximately 8:38 p.m. in the 1400 block of 65th Avenue.

A 30-year-old man was shot and several cars parked in the area were also hit by gunfire. His condition has been reported as stable.

Police have no motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made. Investigators do not know if the man was the intended target or if he was hit by a stray bullet.

An attempted robbery, that led to another shooting, was reported at approximately 5:37 p.m. near 98th Avenue and Plymouth Street.

A 32-year-old woman was walking with three other women when three men approached them and demanded that they hand over their personal items. One of the men shot the woman after they tried to run away. The suspects then fled from the scene.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries and her condition has been reported as stable.

The separate shootings happened following the “Stand Up For a Safe Oakland” that was held by the Oakland Police earlier on Saturday at Lake Merritt.

The Anti Police-Terror Project also held its “Reimagine Safety Community Celebration and Caravan” at the same time.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for any additional information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the fatal shooting and $5,000 for information on each of the other shootings.

Information can be submitted by contacting the Oakland Police Department at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-3426 or by calling Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
