(NEWARK, N.J.) Newark Police are in search of a motorcyclist who struck a 10-year-old girl and abandoned the scene on Friday, according to ABC 7.
Officials said the hit-and-run took place shortly after 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Chancellor Avenue and Schley Street.
Police at the scene located the 10-year-old girl.
Emergency medical services transported the girl to University Hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries, per ABC 7.
The motorcycle driver fled from the scene on foot, leaving the damaged bike behind.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
