There seems to be a lot of confusion this year over whether or not Phoenixville will be holding a fireworks celebration or not this year. I am sorry to inform you that, unfortunately, Phoenixville's Annual Fireworks Celebration has been canceled for 2021.
Even though you won't be able to catch any "official" fireworks in Phoenixville this year (trust me, there will be a LOT of unofficial ones!) here are several nearby towns that WILL have fireworks this year:
- Berwyn: July 4th, dusk, Wilson Farm Park. There won't be any food vendors, but you are encouraged to pack a picnic and bring lawn chairs. DJ begins at 7:15pm.
- Kennett Square: Fireworks & Fountain Show, July 3rd, 9:15pm, Longwood Gardens. (Admission required.)
- Lower Providence: July 4th, dusk, at Eagleville Park. DJ begins at 7:30pm.
- Norristown: July 4th, 9pm, at Elmwood Park Playground.
- North Coventry Township: Friday, July 2nd, 10:30pm, at the Fire Company Fair Grounds. This year's fair runs from July 2nd-7th.
- North Wales: 4th of July Parade, 11am-2pm, on Main Street.
- Philadelphia: July 4th, 9:30pm, over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Note that the Wawa Welcome America Concert (typically on the Ben Franklin Pkwy before the fireworks display) is being held at The Mann Center this year. Click here for details.
- Pottstown Fireworks: July 4th, 9pm, at Memorial Park. Many events scheduled throughout the day. Click here for details.
Philadelphia is going all out this year, returning to their "in-person" format, and will include events to commemorate the new Juneteenth holiday. Together, Juneteenth and the Fourth of July holidays offer a more complete picture of our fight for freedom and liberty, from the founding of our nation in 1776 to the end of slavery in 1865. If you do decide to attend the Philadelphia Fireworks this year, there are many terrific spots throughout Philly that will provide you with a great vantage point. The annual Phoenixville Fireworks Independence Day Celebration is usually held at Friendship Field in Phoenixville, PA each 4th of July. The fireworks begin around dusk (usually 9:15 pm) and can be seen from almost everywhere in Phoenixville! Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy Phoenixville Fireworks once again in 2022!
