ATLANTA, GA — On June 23, 2021 Tammi Saddler Jones was officially sworn as the City Manager of the City of South Fulton. She is a veteran of the local government that has been working for more than twenty years. She most recently served as the City Administrator for Smyrna, Georgia.

She worked as the city administrator for eleven years and has helped the city move forward through strategic studies, economic development, transportation and infrastructure improvement efforts. Her experience in leadership will make Tammi Saddler a great City Manager as she leads the City of South Fulton’s executive team in managing the day-to-day operations, as well as the development and implementation of programs, events, policies and the annual budget.

As the new City Manager, Tammi Saddler will work alongside Donald Toms the Assistant City Manager, Joy Marshall the Programs and Performance Administrator and Jamila Criss the Special Projects Manager.

Tammi Saddler will implement policies and directives from the Mayor and City Council in accordance with the City’s charter. The day-to-day operation will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of world-class service emphasizing on enhancing the quality of life that adds value for all residents.

The City Manager will hold responsible for:

  1. Addressing resident’s concerns through the coordinated efforts of department leads
  2. Overseeing the service delivery of ten departments and their divisions
  3. Developing and managing the city’s budget of nearly $120 million
  4. Ensuring an effective communication flow with elected officials
  5. Forging strong, effective relationships with federal, state and county officials as well as those from other cities throughout Georgia

Those activities are to ensure the city’s progression toward the achievement of South Fulton’s master plan for 2020-2023. Then the City Manager will give reports regarding the City’s progress on the key initiative each month to the elected officials and residents.
