(PHOENIX) A man died and another was detained after a shooting in Phoenix Wednesday night, The Arizona Republic reported.
The Phoenix Police Department said it is investigating the death as a homicide.
Officers responded to a residence near Glendale and 35th avenues just before 10 p.m., police said.
On arrival, the officers found a 24-year-old man with gunshot injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, police said.
Authorities said the victim and a 47-year-old suspect got into an argument before the victim was shot. The suspect was detained by police.
Information on the suspect or victim's identities were not immediately available and the investigation is ongoing.
