If you tell me there’s an opportunity in something, I’m going to get curious. Now you tell me that there’s monetary earning potential in this venture? I’m listening. Now you tell me that I can afford to move out with hard work, consistency, and creativity and do this as a part-time job? Sign me up.

Blogging didn’t cross my radar until I listened to enough GaryVee, and he mentioned the platform.

YouTube, Twitch streaming, photography, and Instagram never really showed me any monetary value, even though I enjoyed doing them.

Writing is the only one that showed promising money to help me pay my bills and move out while doing something that I enjoy.

I became a writing addict because of the fulfillment.

As a social person, I enjoy sharing my ideas and hearing others’ ideas. The online world of blogging seemed like such an elite group of people until I realized that I could do it.

All that was required was a computer, some internet, good ideas, structured writing, and the ability to market me.

It seemed like a lot at first, but my messages were reaching people worldwide and sparking positive feedback.

If the world needs good ideas and stories that can help certain individuals, then I’m here.

Money serves as positive reinforcement to anyone that does something they care about.

Many people will do something for free in hopes that it leads to a paying job that helps them achieve the things they want in life.

With writing, I felt like I started as the janitor of the company and worked my way up into the executive office, where I finally started getting some recognition and a pay raise.

Good things happen when you least expect them. I never expected any of this. I never expected my peers to read my stories and think highly of them. I never expected my girlfriend to be as interested in my work as I am.

I never expected my family and friends to start catching on that I am a writer who hardly takes breaks and enjoys doing what I’m doing.

Final Thought

Writing requires you to get “in the lab” and stay focused. Quality articles aren’t something that you can just pull out of the blue and make sense of.

It takes months and even years of practice to get into a rhythm. In the same way, I keep pushing on in a half-marathon, I keep pushing on with writing.

I have way too much potential to give up any space of achieving great things.

If you have the Spartan mentality and won’t accept defeat, you have a bright future ahead of whatever you want to do.
