Norfolk and Southern Rail had to suspend operations in a small West Virginia town. The reason: Cows.
On Monday night, three cows were seen on the tracks of Bluefield, West Virginia.
A witness, Angie Sharp, claims the cows came from a wooded area and wandered into downtown Bluefield.
Attempts were made to corral cows using a livestock trailer by Bluefield police. Eventually, the cows were herded back towards the trailer after first attempting to elude capture. From across the tracks near Bluefield State College, people snapped photos and videos of the cows.
After dark, the cows were finally caught by the officers.
A Norfolk Southern dispatcher reports that the chase caused a halt to all train traffic in the region.
