A hit-and-run crash killed 76-year-old Stanley Frank Curran in South Austin (Austin, TX)

On Sunday morning, 76-year-old Stanley Frank Curran lost his life following a hit-and-run accident in Austin.

Officers actively responded to the crash scene at about 7:18 a.m. in the 12200 block of the South Interstate 35 service road. The victim, later identified as 76-year-old Stanley Frank Curran, was discovered by a security guard who was doing his morning rounds of the property.

Police mentioned that it seems that a vehicle hit Curran at an unknown time. He was declared deceased at 7:26 a.m. On arrival, authorities found vehicle debris at the scene and believed that they belonged to the suspect’s vehicle appeared to be from a 2019 to 2021 silver Toyota Corolla. The vehicle should have significant front-end damage, according to police.

An investigation is ongoing.
