On Sunday morning, a hit-and-run accident near University Drive and Forest Avenue claimed life of one person.
As per the Tempe Police officials, a truck fatally struck a man near University Drive and Forest Avenue after which the involved driver left the scene. The authorities, however, later located the vehicle and the driver near the crash site. According to authorities, impairment played a part in the crash. As of now, the cause and circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unknown. Authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
An investigation is underway.
