On Sunday night, a 62-year-old homeless man lost his life following a hit-and-run accident on Grande Vista Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center, the fatal pedestrian crash took place at 1606 S. Grande Vista Avenue in Boyle Heights at 10:46 p.m. Reports showed that as the pedestrian crossed the street, a vehicle struck him.
He sustained major injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. As per reports, the crash site was near a railroad bridge. The officers set up a canopy to cover the scene from view. As of now, the circumstances that have resulted in the crash remain unknown.
The incident remains under active review.
