Toasted Bagelry & Deli, a Miami-based deli, is expanding into Broward County and proud to announce the opening of its newest Broward County location. Now open, the Oakland Park eatery now stands as the fifth South Florida location for the fast-casual restaurant chain whose flagship location opened in 2012 in Brickell.
The brainchild of two Egyptian brothers, Islam and Khaled Mohammed, the duo say they honed their skills and expertise at various bakeries throughout New York and New Jersey before relocating to Miami with their sights set on having a bakery of their own. Soon after, Toasted Bagelry was born, serving breakfast and lunch with their menu of signature schmears, bagels, omelets, and artisanal specialty sandwiches all made-to-order in the brand's scratch kitchen.
Located at 3020 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, the new 2,200-square-foot Toasted Bagelry restaurant is also the largest to date, with indoor and outdoor seating — and an upstairs commissary where bagels are baked fresh daily.
But what sets Toasted Bagelry & Deli apart from all the rest is the Mohammed brothers' dedication to preserving the old-school way of making bagels using only Kosher malt, flour, conditioner, and filtered water.
The menu features deli classics including the Normandi Lox with cream cheese, Nova lox, tomato, onions and capers or the Miami Style Rueben, as well as in-house made tuna and chicken salads. Guests can choose from nine different cream cheese spreads all made fresh in-house.
Traditional breakfast sandwiches and wraps also decorate the menu including the Hobbie Beach Bagel with just two eggs and cheese or the Collins Breakfast Wrap made with scrambled eggs, feta, spinach and onions. Toasted Bagelry & Deli also offers four craft salads, made and mixed for each guest from an exquisite selection of vegetables, proteins, and toppings.
In addition, the menu also features omelettes, paninis, and an array of baked goods such as croissants, muffins, and cookies. The beverage menu features a full coffee bar with the signature Toasted Iced Coffee served with coffee ice cubes alongside hot and iced lattes, coladas, cortaditos, expresso, cappuccinos, fresh squeezed orange juice, lemonade, and fruit smoothies.
