It's summer time and that means patios, cocktails and rooftop bars. If you live in Los Angeles or are planning a summer visit soon, then you should know that there are a lot of rooftops in LA with so many skyline views that you'll be spoiled for choice. You can see the views of the city from a beautiful vantage point.

Here are six summer-worth rooftop bars in Los Angeles.

1.) Pilot Los Angeles

You will find Pilot on the rooftop of The Hoxton, a beautiful mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Los Angeles. This place is very instagram worthy and you can get cocktails served by the pool in pretty honey bear bottles. They offer happy hour on weekdays from 2pm to 5pm and you can get a rotating drink for only $8.32. The menu has a lot of fresh seafood and the ambience is very stunning. This is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening with the girls.

Location: 1060 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015, United States
How to book: Reservations are available on their website, but walk-ins are also welcomed.

2.) Broken Shaker Los Angeles

Broken Shaker is located in the rooftop area of Freehand Hotel. This rooftop is unlike any other in the heart of Los Angeles. It is a colorful, bright and vibrant location that attracts the trendiest and hippiest people of LA. You will also find some of the best downtown LA views at the rooftop which is no joke. In terms of menu, you'll find manila clams and country bread as well as Mezcal, white wine spritzer and more.

Address: 416 W 8th St, Los Angeles, CA 90014, United States

3.) Terra

Terra is located in Eataly and definitely one to try when in Los Angeles. It is located in the Century City Westfield Mall and has a beautiful rooftop. There's also a full-service lunch and dinner restaurant with really great wood-fired oven. There are also a lot of Eataly goods to purchase and take back home with you. What a treat.

4.) Margot

For a fine summer evening setting, head on over to Margot for a relaxing time at the boho-chic rooftop setting. This place is very spacious, airy and cozy and the decoration makes it a tranquil place to be which is a contrast from the usual hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Like every other place on this list, there is a stunning rooftop with views of the ruins of the Mediterranean and the rest of the city.

5.) Elephante

Last but most certainly not least on this list is Elephante. You come for the ambience and you stay for the amazing food and drinks. This place is such a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Santa Monica and is somewhat of a hidden gem. You'll find good food, good music, good drinks here and you'll also have the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. You can also make cocktails whether big or small, any cocktail of your choice which in my opinion is such a great way to ring in the summer in Los Angeles. Give it a try and you wouldn't regret it.

You can make reservations to this place here.
