TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - A Terre Haute man police say recently escaped from custody was found dead a week later in southern Vigo County.
The Vigo County Coroner's Office determined the victim, Richard M. Patterson, 32, died from drowning, while still wearing handcuffs placed on him by a deputy.
