(ATLANTA, Ga.) Although many restaurants and businesses in Atlanta have been operating with precaution, a few establishments are still in the reopening phase and finally opening doors to the public.

Decatur City Building Department recently announced that it is open to the public and has added safety regulations to keep visitors safe during COVID-19. Visitors are required to have an appointment to regulate capacity throughout the day.

The opening of Decatur’s buildings came shortly after the city of Atlanta entered Phase 4 of its reopening plan and announced that city employees could return to government buildings.

The new requirements for Decatur’s city buildings are as follows:

The city of Atlanta is operating with a five-phase COVID-19 Response Plan, one that requires both vaccinated and unvaccinated people to wear masks in city government buildings.

Both employees and visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entering the building. These regulations are being adapted by surrounding cities and counties to decrease exposure to COVID-19.
