PLYMOUTH, MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The City of Plymouth will be holding its annual Happy Birthday America Parade on July 1, 2021.
The parade, held to embody the city's spirits and participation in the festivities of Independence Day, will take place at the Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.
This is a free event aimed at preschool and elementary children age groups.
The series of events will start at 10 AM with parade decorations by the participants. Children are requested to bring their bicycles, tricycles, or strollers to be decorated. Children are also suggested to wear patriotic uniforms.
Ribbons and balloons will be provided, although participants are allowed to bring their own decorative materials. The parade event will begin at 10.30 AM with the Star-Spangled Banner and other patriotic songs led by the Hamel Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5903.
The event continues at 11 AM with a magic show by Kevin Hall, a local performer, at the Hilde small stage. The parade's committee will provide water and nut-free snacks. It is open to the public without any registration needed.
