What we loved:
- The carousel swing
- The close proximity to the splash pad and market.
- The triple water fountain with a short and tall water fountain as well as a water bottle filler.
What we would have liked:
- A fence without gaps. (Tots can escape the wooden fence surrounding the playground.)
- More shade

The Market Playground lives up to its name and is located near the Ocala Downtown Market at SE 3rd St & SE 3rd Ave, Ocala, FL 34471.
Donated by the Ocala Downtown Business Alliance Inc, this tractor-themed pocket playground in Ocala's downtown is one you won't want to miss.
(Not to mention it's a hop skip and a jump to the Citizen's Circle Splash Pad.)
The main playground structure resembles a John Deere tractor, and drew in my three - year- old preschooler.
He navigated the little ladder and steps with ease. My munchkin also enjoyed the double slide, steering wheel, and platform with a green canopy.
My energetic kiddo had a blast on the twisty slide and playing on the side of the structure with a rotating gear.
Oh, and don't forget the springy horse!
But the highlight of the park for us was the three-seater carousel swing that spun around in circles. Note: I definitely got my exercise pushing three kids on that thing, LOL! So parents bring your muscles.
Some kids sat, and some daredevils stood on this equipment that reminded me of the Disney World trapeze swing (but at a much smaller scale).
Out of all the playgrounds in Ocala, I’ve never seen a carousel swing quite like it!

Other highlights nearby: Beside the playground are three charming chicken-shaped bike racks and beautiful graffiti art on the wall of the building across the street.
The playground occasionally gets power washed for cleanliness (see below).
Other observations about Market Park in Ocala, FL
- Towards the back of the park is a large bench swing.
- Surrounding the park are also two trash bins.
- The bulk of the park is out in the open, but you can find a few shady trees towards the edges.
