Indiana Jones is one of our family’s favorite film series and when we saw a Mayan temple to explore on the side of the road in the Wisconsin Dells, we couldn’t resist the urge to make a stop to explore. We wanted to see what was inside!

This unique roadside attraction is a fun and quick stop featuring an ancient temple with a maze and a quest for a skull. As you wander and explore there are different surprises and illusions, as well as some scares and screams along the way during your quest.

This mini attraction located on the parkway in the Wisconsin Dells is part Indiana Jones adventure and part haunted house. You’ll search through this ancient temple through a darkened maze of rooms that are filled with themed items that fit in with the temple’s mystique. Surprises, scares, thrills and illusions are all part of this short journey.

Because part of this attraction includes dark rooms and scares, it may upset very young or sensitive travelers. I’d recommend this stop for children ages 8 and up. My teen and tween thought it was fun and held hands as they bravely traveled throughout the twists and turns.

This is a quick attraction to explore and only takes a few minutes to wander through. We made a stop this summer during our recent vacation and our family of four was done in probably 15 minutes. However, with an affordable $5 price tag, it’s a fun mini-adventures, especially if you’re looking for indoor attractions in the Wisconsin Dells due to weather.

The Lost Temple is located 2255 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965. It is directly across from Timbavati Animal Park on Wisconsin Dells Parkway, and near Top Secret a Highly Classified Experience and the Ghost Outpost.
