ST. LOUIS, MO — Summer is finally here, and people are celebrating outside.

And for a good reason, too. The past year has been challenging for everyone, and it's hard to remember the pains some people went through last summer. So this year, hoping that everything will continue to look up and get closer to a new normal, here are four things to look forward to again.

1. Pools

Swimming under the scorch is bliss, and most people would agree. Swimming activities in indoor pools and recreational swim at outdoor pools sounds exciting. However, always keep in mind to comply with St. Louis County guidelines, which currently state that masks are not required while sitting on the pool deck but are required while moving about.

2. Day Camp

Day Camp is a thrilling activity in the summer season, especially for the kids. These camps usually feature many fun things for kids, such as swimming, sports, gymnastics, and arts. In addition, campers in their 3rd to 6th grades are allowed to choose most of their daily activities. Your kids deserve to have fun this summer, and you, parents, deserve a break.

3. Used Book Sale

For all old book hunters, used book sale and fair are back is back in town. Browse thousands of books, and you'll find yourselves immersed in the depth of storylines. The books cover all genres, and you will discover the perfect virtues to read. The Jewish Community Center will have one from August 22 – 26 in their Performing Arts Center.

4. Film Festival

Summer is prime time for the box office, and that includes the film festivals. You can expect the festivals to have virtual options this year as well. The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival, for example, is one of them.

With the virtual option, you and your entire household can watch all the festival's movies on demand. See their lineup here https://jccstl.com/arts-ideas/st-louis-jewish-film-festival/events-film-schedule/.
