I don't have to tell you that it's time to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather. One of the greatest ways to do that is to visit a drive-in for lunch, dinner, or even a snack. The best part is you don't even have to get out of your car. You can just stay right there in the comfort of your car and a server will come out and take your order and bring your food right to you. Here are 3 great drive-in restaurants to enjoy in Akron.

Dilly's

Dilly's is located right on Triplett Blvd right across from the Akron Regional Airport and the Rubber Bowl. Dilly's has an extensive menu that features much more than burgers and fries. You can pick up a steak sandwich, a black bean veggie burger, a chicken club sandwich and more. But don't get me wrong, the burgers are fantastic. I could even say they are possibly the best burgers in town. For just four dollars, you can pick up a Double Dilly Burger which comes with two sauces and two pickles. That and an order of fries and a drink, you're eating like drive-in royalty for well under ten dollars.

We love this place. It’s now our fav drive-in restaurant. Never had a bad food experience and the service has been on point. If you ask me, THIS is the #1 burger joint in the Akron area. Looking forward to many more visits! Melinab51

Swensons

I had to include Swensons on this list or I might have the masses revolt against me. Swensons was founded back in 1934 and is known for the Galley Boy Burger, which is a double cheeseburger which features two special sauces and a toasted bun and a green olive. It's an Akron tradition. The service is fast and once you've had Swensons, you'll agree there is nothing else quite like it. I often went to the North Hill location found on Cuyahoga Falls Ave. Go swimming at Grandmas and then get Swenson's to eat. Don't over look the California drink which is kind of a grape pop on steroids kind of thing. One note: order the fries well done. They are so much better when you order them that way. You'll be glad you did!

We have a lot of different diets in our household so whether you are getting a fully loaded Galley Boy or their veggie burger we always have a satisfied family. What we love most is being able to call in your order and park in their lot and they come deliver it to your car! Very friendly staff! Theadventurebuddies

B&K Rootbeer

B&K Rootbeer is probably the underdog of this list. Most people know about Swenson's. Some know about Dilly's. But B&K Rootbeer is a small little local stop that is most well known in Cuyahoga Falls. It's located right on 737 Munroe Falls Ave. There is no fancy website either. It's just a simple Facebook page. But B&K has really good burgers, hot dogs, fries and, of course, rootbeer. I went there recently and the parking lot was full. The service was fast and the food was fresh and hot. This is the true sleeper on the list. If you want to support a small local business, check out B&K Rootbeer.

We got there on Friday supper time and was surprised the weren't more busy. It was nice though because the service was exceptional and the food was ready in a timely manor! The burgers and fries were awesome. It really made a nice little trip for us to both get away from the home area (North Canton) and to have that treat of an old style drive in atmosphere and great food. KatcoBob
