Star of India Tandoori is an authentic Indian Cuisine serving Lunch Buffet seven days a week, also features wide selection of vegan and vegetarian items. Located in the heart of Los Angeles at Melrose Ave and Vine Street, this is one of the best Indian spots you can go to.

I always start off with a couple of appetizers, the vegetable samosas are incredible. They're made with potatoes, green peas, and spices wrapped in a homemade flour pastry dough and are deep-fried. They also have chicken samosas made with ground chicken and spices wrapped in a homemade flour pastry dough and are deep-fried.

Alternatively, you can also get the assorted appetizer platter for two which has veg samosa, onion bhaji, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, lamb seekh kebab and chicken seekh kebab.

If you're a fan of chicken, I highly recommend going with the classic chicken tikka masala. This dish is made with tender morsels of boneless chicken breast marinated in a blend of freshly ground herbs, baked over charcoal, then cooked in the chef’s special masala sauce. It's definitely a signature dish.

The Butter Chicken is a close second favorite, made with shredded Tandoori chicken marinated in a blend of freshly ground herbs, baked over charcoal, then cooked in the chef’s special masala sauce.

The Chicken Korma is another favorite, made with tender pieces of boneless chicken breast cooked in creamy korma sauce flavored with exotic spices, a paste of ground nuts, and herbs.

If you're a fan of coconut, the coconut chicken is incredibly good. It's tender pieces of boneless chicken breast cooked in coconut cream sauce flavored with exotic spices, a paste of ground nuts and herbs.

We also get the chicken vindaloo as well which is made with spicy chicken curry, potatoes and fresh lemon.

If you're vegetarian, try the Paneer Jalfrezi which is mixed vegetable and Paneer sautéed in a semi-dry tangy sauce with onions and bell peppers.

The vegetable korma is really good and filling as well, made with mixed vegetable cooked in creamy korma sauce flavored with exotic spices, a paste of ground nuts and herbs.

If you like seafood, the coconut shrimp is an absolute must, made with black tiger shrimp cooked in coconut cream sauce flavored with exotic spices, paste of ground nuts and herbs. And, the King Prawn Tandoori Masala made with jumbo prawns marinated in a blend of freshly ground herbs, baked over charcoal, then cooked in the chef’s special masala sauce is great as well.

The restaurant also offers incredible tandoori options like salmon or mixed tandoori which is a combination of all their options. Great for anyone who wants to try a nice variety of things.

I recently got into lamb and they have amazing lamb tikka masala with tender pieces of lamb marinated in a blend of freshly ground herbs, baked over charcoal, then cooked in the chef’s special masala sauce. They also have coconut lamb and lamb korma.

If you're a fan of Indian, definitely stop by this spot. You won't regret it.
