There are thousands of pets wishing to get adopt every single day but, until they do get adopted these pets still deserve the care and affection that they need.

That means still treating them as if they were your pet which would consist of celebrating holidays and birthdays.

Remember these animals did not ask to be here, they are just looking for a comfortable and lovable family to join.

A couple of days ago a senior cat named Sammy turned nineteen years old, the staff at the Ohio animal CARE threw him an amazing birthday party.

In a Fox 2 News article called "Ohio animal shelter throws purr-fect birthday party for 19-year-old cat" by Kelly Hayes elaborated on this wonderful birthday party for Sammy.

Kelly Hayes stated "Sammy’s previous owner went to live in an assisted living facility and he has been at the shelter since June 7. The staff described him as "just amazingly sweet," saying the cat would love "a nice, quiet home to live out his golden years." Sammy is extra special, as most indoor cats live on average 10 to 15 years, according to UC Davis Veterinary Medicine.

The only stipulation for whoever adopts the feline is that they’ll be required to keep the tradition going and throw him a 20th birthday on June 15, 2022, the shelter added on Facebook."

Sammy has gotten to experience tons of birthday's and whoever adopts him I hope they continue this tradition for this amazing cat.
