The city is officially completely reopened and with that comes some hot new restaurant openings and reopenings in Los Angeles to help launch us back into our former reality. Here's where you should be eating this week.

Bicyclete Bistro (West Los Angeles)

If you have a gaping hole for travel in your heart, then you'll love the feeling of stepping into Paris at Bicyclette Bistro, from Chefs Charles and Margarita Manzke. The Parisian-style bistro and bar opened on June 16th and they will be adding a tasting-menu concept upstairs later this year.

Menu highlights include updated classics like Duck Leg Confit, Steak au Poivre, and Burgundy Escargot en Croute with garlic parsley butter. For dessert, you'll have familiar items like Paris Brest and Profiterole au Chocolate, along with a Dessert Board featuring one chocolate and two seasonal tartes.

On the drinks side, you'll enjoy an all-French wine list divided by region with a focus on vins de soif wines to enjoy now. The cocktail menu is a delightful read with cartoons and photographs in between pages of Aperitifs and classic cocktails like Kir Royale with a crème di cassis that was sourced in Dijon, France.

Fellow (West Los Angeles)

On the reopening side comes Fellow, a fine-dining concept, from restauranteur Philip Camino. Along with the new debut comes a new Executive Chef, Chris Flint (Maude, Eleven Madison Park) as well as a new Bar Director Adam Fournier (2021 U.S. World Class Bartender of the Year by USBG and Diageo) among others.

The meal is a feast for all senses beginning with a walk through The Galerie art space next door. Menu highlights include Scallop Ceviche with avocado, radish, and jalapeño; Foie Gras with strawberry, onion, and mustard greens; and Glazed Lobster with turnips, leeks, and vanilla. On the sweet side you'll have Pistachio Cake with cherries and brittle; and Butter Mochi with dulce de leche and sesame.

The wine program from Sommelier Scott Lester (French Laundry) has over 2000 choices for you with a focus on California wines. The innovative cocktail menu focuses on punny drinks such as You had me at Fellow which can also be made without alcohol and uses orange-vanilla soda sweetened only with monk fruit.
