PLYMOUTH, MN — Music in Plymouth is set to return in person on July 7 at the Hilde Performance Center, Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.

The event was initially planned as a virtual event due to the pandemic, just like last year’s event. But, since the guidelines and restrictions are being updated, it is now possible to hold the ‘Music in Plymouth’ in person. This annual event has been around for 49 years.

This year, the event’s format will be smaller, concurring with the health and safety protocols. Performances to anticipate are from Heart and Soul Drum Academy, Medicine Show Music Company, Malamanya and Ragamala Dance Company.

Guests attending are encouraged to follow the guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health. Limited concessions will be available at the site, and guests can bring picnic supplies, lawn chairs, or blankets. However, no blankets, chairs, or tarps should be left behind— all must be cleared before 7 a.m. the next day.

There will be a free shuttle service to take the guests to the event from to parking locations: West Lutheran High School, 34th Avenue N.

& Fernbrook Lane N. and Plymouth Creek Elementary School, Vicksburg Lane N. & 41st Avenue N. Shuttle service runs 6 p.m. – 11.30 p.m.

Music in Plymouth 5K will be held at the same venue on June 26, 8 a.m. The 35th annual run is open to all racers, walkers, and families. Visit https://www.active.com/plymouth-mn/running/distance-running-races/music-in-plymouth-5k-2021?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery to register.

Music in Plymouth is presented by the Plymouth Civic League, supported by the City of Plymouth, Plymouth businesses and residents. Residents can help support the event through a tax-deductible donation. For more information, visit musicinplymouth.org.
