Mr. Donald Trump and historian/journalist Bill O'Reilly are traveling this December to Orlando, FL and elsewhere for what Trump has called his "History Tour."

They will be in Orlando, FL December 12th at the Amway Center at 3pm. Tickets can be purchased June 21 at 10 a.m. They start at $100, with VIP and Premium seats also available.

On its site, the Orlando Amway Center says, "In a progression of live discussions the nation over, Mr. Trump and Mr. O'Reilly will talk about precisely how things were cultivated, just as difficulties, both great and awful, during the four years of Mr. Trump's administration."

What has given many pause is why this tour is happening. On the announcement on Bill O'Reilly's website, it says,

From the pandemic that killed hundreds of thousands, to the speedy development of the vaccine, to the rise of the economy, to the global challenge from China, Donald Trump was the dominant decision-maker and the most powerful person in the world.
In a series of live conversations across the country, Mr. Trump and Historian/Journalist Bill O’Reilly will discuss exactly how things were accomplished, as well as challenges, both good and bad!

It seems like this tour won't be so much of "a study of past events," but a retelling of that history.

Political gaslighting is an “elaborate and insidious technique of deception and psychological manipulation.” This is used to “undermine the victim’s confidence in his own ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, right from wrong, or reality from appearance, thereby rendering him psychologically dependent on the gaslighter."

Since Trump lost the 2020 election as well as his ability to participate on most major social media platforms, he hasn't been able to stay as connected to his supporters. He needs his supporters to believe his version of the truth to keep them enthralled. Thus, this tour.

This tour will mark Trump's version of history, which means we can expect more gaslighting to his avid fans.

Mr. Trump has been heavily criticized for how he handled the Coronavirus. Isabel Togoh, for example, in Forbes reported that there would have been thousands of less deaths if Trump had initiated a country-wide lockdown just two weeks sooner. Even as hundreds of thousands of Americans were dying from COVID-19, Trump told supporters that the diseased affected "virtually no one."

Further, the rise of the economy, though true, was stronger at other points in history and some of that rise could been due to changes intiated during the Obama administration.

Trump and O'Reilly's "History Tour," which will be in Orlando, FL and three other cities, promises to be interesting.
