In reference to the murder of 39 year-old Marvis Pollock that occurred on May 2nd in the 2600 block of W. Fairmount Avenue, and the murder of 30 year-old Brittaney Hayes-Smith that occurred on May 3rd in the 2800 Clifton Park Terrace , detectives have arrested 40 year-old Gerald Smith of Baltimore, MD.
Smith, who is a repeat offender, fled to Atlanta, Georgia where he was arrested. Smith was later extradited to Baltimore where he has been officially charged with 1st degree murder in both cases.
Gerald Smith is currently being held without bail at Central Booking Intake Facility.
