HOUSTON, TX — The University of Houston Downtown Employment Services and Operations is currently opening registration for “Get the Scoop” Benefits Information Sessions that will be held on Tuesday, June 22, starting from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m and Thursday, June 24, at 10-11 a.m.

Annual Summer Benefits Enrollment is a window for employees to make changes to their benefits portfolio without a qualifying life event or changes elected during this time take effect on September 1, 2021.

In this virtual event, participants will learn about upcoming fiscal year benefits changes, and they have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the changes. The employee also can become familiar with insurance plan benefits and rates for the upcoming fiscal year through this event.

Registered participants are entitled to pre-packaged ice cream treats on the Academic Building’s Third Floor Mural Area 30 minutes ahead of their scheduled session.

All UHD benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to join this event, however, it may be especially helpful to employees who plan to make changes throughout UHD’s Annual Summer Benefits Enrollment period June 28 – July 10.

Employees can make changes to their benefits portfolio during the annual enrollment period of June 28 to July 10, 2021, in one of three ways online 24/7 directly with ERS at ers.state.tx.us, by calling ERS during regular business hours at (866) 399‐6908, and through Employment Services and Operations (ESO) by scheduling an appointment with a benefits representative at benefits@uhd.edu.

Interested parties can participate in this event by filling out a short form.

Join UHD Employment Services & Operations for two informative workshops this week that include "Dealing With Anxiety and...
