94-year-old Asian American woman stabbed in San Francisco

(SAN FRANCISCO) A 94-year-old Asian American woman was stabbed Wednesday in San Francisco, NBC Bay Area reported.

The stabbing occurred around 10:15 a.m. along the 800 block of Post Street.

Officers responded to a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds following an "unprovoked" attack.

The woman was taken to the hospital. She is expected to survive.

The San Francisco Police Department arrested a suspect identified as 35-year-old Daniel Cauich at approximately 11:45 a.m. Officers located Cauich on the 1300 block of Clay Street, according to a news release.

Cauich was booked and charged with attempted homicide, battery with serious injury, elder abuse, committing a felony while on bail or release, great bodily injury enhancement and probation violation.
