Running is one of those activities that aren’t too demanding and make your body feel amazing.

Every runner falls into a slump every once in a while, and we feel extremely rusty. But, to get over this hump, we’ve got to force ourselves to get outside and put in the necessary time and effort.

If you’re anyone like me, you prefer to walk around with confidence, pride, and a body that makes you happy. In order to get over a loss of running motivation, we’ve got to get a few things straight.

Running is good for our health, but it isn’t the only form of exercise.

We get exercise when we walk, take the stairs, and carry our bags around.

Running doesn’t have to be the only way you release dopamine and make your body look great.

Understand that a little intensity for our bodies is good for our physical and mental health.

Moderate to intense workouts are necessary for our bodies to grow strong and be more durable in the long run.

Running is great cardio that gets your heart beating, which makes you feel more alive.

When we think of cardio, a few things come to mind: running, biking, rowing, the Stairmaster, or a hike uphill. Of course, all of these things are useful, but nothing compares quite to running.

With each foot hitting the pavement, rocks, or dirt, your entire body forces itself to adapt and overcome stress.

No matter what tier runner you are, you can get a quality exercise in a short amount of time — whether it’s sprints, jogs, long-distance, or quick bursts.

Final Thought

Running is one of the quickest, most cost-efficient, and adventurous forms of exercise out there.

It’d be a shame if we let this great opportunity pass us by while we’re younger and more able. We don’t want to look back at this time and realize we just watched time pass us by.

The next time you know, you should run but don’t feel like it. Just get dressed, tighten your laces, and get outside. The post-workout feeling will be well worth it.
