I used to love visiting Olympia. I thought it was an absolutely beautiful city, and I enjoyed walking around all of the different neighborhoods. Plus, there were loads of amazing shops and restaurants that I made sure to visit whenever I was in town. But over the past few years, the city of Olympia has massively deteriorated.

A few months ago, a group of 45 far-left activists stormed the Downtown Olympia Red Lion Hotel, equipped with hatchets, batons, knives, and gas masks, helmets, and goggles, reportedly prepared for a violent clash. It was a "domestic terrorist attack," according to Olympia Mayor Cheryl Selby.

But it isn't only the political left that is causing mayhem in Olympia. Hundreds of people gathered on the lawn of Washington's governor's house after Pro-Trump demonstrators burst past a barrier. That event occurred on the same day that a violent pro-Trump mob breached the US Capitol, causing several deaths and multiple injuries.

Look, I love the city of Olympia. But over the past few months, political tribalism has destroyed it to the point where the city is in an undeniable period of decline. Most people in the state of Washington just want to live a happy life. They want to fall in love, visit nearby cities such as Seattle, and send their children to good schools.

However, the constant threat of political violence and crime makes many people around Washington (and the rest of the country) nervous about walking on the streets alone at night. After all, a poll from the Survey Center on American Life uncovered some alarming findings: A large proportion of Americans seem to support the use of political violence in certain circumstances.

But what do you think? Do you feel safe in Olympia? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
