A team of armed carjackers roaming around Houston allegedly made the wrong choice this time. The victim they selected fought back and not only did they have to go at top speed, but one of them got hurt.

One of the would-be thieves got a nasty surprise when the supposed victim turned the attack full on.

What are the details?

Earlier on Tuesday the group of carjackers had shot a victim in an incident at a 7-Eleven gas station. The 50-year-old man who was assaulted told the authorities that there were two or three armed men attempting to take his truck.

When he protested and tried to fight back, they shot him. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

That was only the first time they went after a car on that day, though.

The police got another emergency call for help only 30 minutes after the first attack in Houston. The incident took place five miles away from the first location.

In the second incident the carjackers didn’t end up winning. Several men reportedly approached the victim they had targeted.

They intended to take their vehicle at a Chevron gas station, as The Blaze points out. In the second case the victim was a lot faster than the carjackers and they ended up regretting their attempted theft.

The person who was under attack grabbed their gun and didn’t hesitate to defend themselves and the vehicle. One of the carjackers got shot, according to the 911 call. The rest of the carjackers pickup up speed and were gone from the place.

The suspect who got hurt was taken to hospital. The police have revealed that they are possibly part of a team of teenage carjackers in Houston.

The authorities are asking for the public’s help to identify the car the other carjackers fled with. It was a dark sedan, either a Chrysler or a Dodge.

KHOU-TV reported that both the first victim and the suspect are in stable condition after the Houston incidents.
