The Reno Wine Walk will kick off this Saturday, June 19th from 2:00pm-5:00pm in the Downtown River District. You can order tickets on the Reno Riverwalk website. Billed as a "fun and quirky event where costumes take center stage" which means maybe dress fancy? and prepre to have fun while you socialize and stroll along the Reno River District.
The Wine Walk is every third Saturday of the month and is organized by the Riverwalk Merchants Association. This Saturday there are 13 participating organizations in the downtown Truckee River area, including Labels Consignment Boutique, The Office, Reno Axe, Pizza Reno, and Home Means Nevada.
Here's how it works: You purchase a ticket online and then head to the local merchant listed on your ticket. Once you show up, present your ID and you will receive a wine glass, wristband, and map of the participating businesses in the area.
From that point on, wear your wristband and prepare to head to each participating business to sample some wine. Yes, sample. Open containers, or glasses of wine, are not allowed in the downtown Reno area so plan to sip and sample, and then walk, and sip and sample some more at the next place. You won't be able to sample any of this fine wine without that wristband, so be sure to put it on right away and keep track of it - and your wine glass!
The Wine Walk is a fun, sophisticated way to sample new wine, explore new businesses in downtown Reno, and bond with a friend or two as you enjoy the spirit and taste of summer along the River in our very own Reno, Nevada. Plan on bringing a friend or maybe making a few new ones this Saturday, and every third Saturday this summer!
