(AUSTIN, Texas) According to an affidavit given to KVUE, a fight between two groups is what started the shooting in downtown Austin injuring 13 and killing one.

Jeremiah Roshaun Leeland James Tabb, 17, was arrested for the shooting, Monday. He is one of two suspects. He is being charged as an adult.

According to the affidavit, two groups who knew each other spotted each other on east Sixth Street in Austin.

One of the persons involved in the other group, identified as a juvenile, knew Tabb for years and was recently shot by him in Killeen.

When Tabb saw the juvenile he asked if they wanted to fight. Then Tabb pulled out a gun from his waistbelt and started shooting. The juvenile told police he shot back in self-defense.

Eight shell casings were found in front of the bar where the shooting occurred, all from the same gun, according to investigators. How the gun was obtained by the suspects is unknown.

Tabb is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
